Its been a Month Already!!

Wow, been a month and I haven't posted ANYTHING???

Well I have been keeping very busy. Things that have been keeping us busy include our gardens!! Which is slowly coming along. We have FLOWERS (whoo hoo!!) On just about all our veggie plants. The bunnies ate all but one of my begonia bulbs - Note to self - Plant begonias next year so that bunnies stay away from all of the other plants!!

We have a new addition to our pond. A stowaway painted turtle showed up in the topsoil we received from a local farmer. He or she?? is now living it up in the pond with our other painted turtle and about 100 of his cold blooded cousin frogs!!

On the Alpaca front - we started the planning for pastures and shelters and barns -OH MY! there is still alot of work to be done before we get our teddy bear friends! We have signed up for a seminar on Alpaca care and can't wait to attend!

We are still "pig sitting" and LOVING it. They greet us now when we go check on them. They really are cute!!


I have been catching up on all the podcasts on knitting, crocheting, spinning and owning animals. Its amazing how many there are on Knitting, but not so much on crocheting, spinning or even farm/camelid care, but they are out there.

On the crafting side of life - I have to say I only finished 1 project a hat made out of Llamma! The baby blankets are all still on the sticks as are some socks and baby hats. I think I have a serious case of startitis. My goal is to complete some of these projects by next month so I can work on spinning!!

I did pick out the christmas project/present for this season and have even started working on that. I know no-one really wants to think about it as its only June but now is the time to start planning out those projects.
